Degrees, Qualifications:

• Jingchu Luo, graduated from the Department of Biology of PKU, spent one and half year at the University of Maryland in US as a visiting scholar in 1987-1989, visited the Biomolecular Modeling Laboratory at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund (ICRF, now Cancer Research UK) in London in 1991, 1994, 1995, 1997 and 1999 for a Royal Society UK-China Joint Research Project. He was invited to give lectures in US, UK, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
• Prof Luo has been working on bioinformatics research and development granted by 863, 973, NSFC etc and published some 30 papers, written some chapters on molecular modeling and bioinformatics, and translated “Introduction to Bioinfortmatics” into Chinese. He is taking care of the bioinformatics service at CBI and running an ABC course (Applied Bioinformatics Course) for graduate students and organized several bioinformatics workshops and courses.
