Some Systems Biology Research Projects at PICB

Abstract:
Although my main theme is perhaps systems biology, there are several
diverse directions. Ontology and knowledge management has expanded to
clinical ontology other than GO (Gene Ontology), to extracting gene
regulatory networks from PUBMED texts and finding community and regulation
structures in large biological networks. Other projects include a video
database of cell level images for protein activities and the "Taverna"
workflow system for systems biology and grid computing. A postdoc is being
recruited to carry out some of these projects, but I am also seeking
collaborating labs and centers.
